Super Vasuki is considered to be the longest train in India. It stretches over 3.5 kilometres in length and has a total of 295 coaches. Vasuki is considered to be the longest goods train operated by Indian Railways. Surprisingly the Super Vasuki consisting of 295 coaches is pulled by a total of six locomotives working together. And the entire train takes a significant amount of time to pass through the railway crossing. Super Vasuki indeed plays an important role in transporting coal from mines to power plants across various parts of the country. According to a ZeeNews report the train carries approximately 27000 tons of coal from Chhattisgarhs Korba to Rajnandgaon near Nagpur in a single journey. The total time taken by the freight train Super Vasuki is approximately 11.20 hours. Yes  approximately 11.20 hours is the time taken to cover the distance and carry approximately 27000 tons of coal from Chhattisgarhs Korba to Rajnandgaon near Nagpur. The train got its name after Vasuki the snake associated with Lord Shiva and its long formation resembles a snake in motion.
