
Lucknow: Bundelkhand University, Jhansi declared the results of the Uttar Pradesh B.Ed Joint Entrance Examination on Tuesday. Suraj Kumar Patel from Mirzapur secured the top position with 362.662 marks out of 400. Sheeba Parveen from Bhadohi ranked second with 333.992 marks, while Shivangi Yadav from Jaunpur stood third with 331.992 marks. Notably, Sheeba Parveen is the only female candidate in the top 10.The exam, conducted on June 1 across 751 centres in 69 districts, was completed and results declared within just 16 days. Out of the 3,44,546 candidates who registered, 3,05,099 appeared for the exam. Uttar Pradesh has around 2.40 lakh B.Ed seats across approximately 2,300 colleges.State Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay and Minister of State Rajni Tiwari released the merit list in Lucknow. “The exam was conducted with full transparency,” said Upadhyay. He advised successful candidates to focus not only on education but also on values.Two cases of cheating were reported: one in Meerut, where a candidate hid a mobile phone in undergarments, and another in Ayodhya, where a proxy candidate was caught.
