
Bajaj Auto has launched a new version of its popular electric scooter Chetak 3001 in India. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at around Rs 1 lakh. This model will replace Chetak 2903, which is now being discontinued. The price of Chetak 3001 is about Rs 1,500 more than the old model. But it includes a new frame, a bigger battery, more range, and some advanced features. This new version is based on Bajaj's Chetak 35 series.
Bajaj Chetak 3001: Battery, Charging and Range
In Chetak 3001, the battery has been installed under the floorboard of the scooter. Due to this, the stability of the scooter has improved and the usable space has also increased. Also, its center of gravity has become low, which makes the ride more comfortable. It has a 3.0 kWh battery, which is slightly larger than the old 2.9 kWh battery model. The new battery claims to give a range of 127 km on a single charge, which is 4 km more than before. Apart from this, it now also gets a larger boot space of 35 liters.
Talking about charging, it has a 750-watt fast charger. This scooter gets charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 3 hours and 50 minutes.
Bajaj Chetak 3001: How are the features
For customers who want smart features, an optional kit called TecPac is also available. Through this, many connectivity features are added to the Chetak 3001. Such as call alerts with Bluetooth connectivity, music control, guide me home lights, hill hold assist, reverse light, and automatically flashing stop light. The entire body of the scooter is made of metal, which keeps its strength intact.
