The tragic Ahmedabad plane crash involving an Air India flight has left the entire nation reeling in grief. The incident, which claimed numerous lives including that of passengers, cabin crew, and pilots, has triggered waves of sorrow across the country. Among the lives lost was 26-year-old cabin crew member Roshni Songhare.Roshni's death has struck a personal chord with actress Payal Ghosh, who is known for her work in South cinema and Bollywood.Recently, Payal recalled an encounter with Roshni on a flight to Dubai, revealing that the young crew member had shared her dreams of becoming an actress in the Marathi film industry.Speaking about the tragedy, Payal said she was deeply shaken by the news, particularly after learning about Roshni's death."I am deeply affected with the news of so many people losing their lives to an air tragedy. It breaks my heart. From old people to young kids, we lost so many lives. However, I am a bit personally affected hearing about Roshni. She was such a beautiful and positive girl. She was one of the crews in my flight to Dubai earlier and I was in awe of the way she expressed her admiration for my work. In fact, she even came and told me that she had seen my South movies and had liked my work there and she herself had acting ambitions in her life later on.""I remember clearly that she told me that she wanted to do Marathi films and be an actor like me. There was so much energy and positivity in her eyes and the way she called me her inspiration while expressing her love for acting touched my heart and made it a special memory for me. I am extremely upset and sad with what happened and may Roshni's soul rest in peace and may her family get the strength and courage to bear with this horrendous loss. May God save us and protect us," Payal added. According to media reports, Roshni was also a social media influencer. She was planning to get married next year. Reports revealed that Roshni lived with her younger brother Vignesh and her parents Rajendra and Shobha on Rajaji Path in Dombivali. After pursuing a flight attendant course, began her career with another airline and later joined Air India. According to a report in NDTV, Roshni's relatives stated that she loved international assignments and was excited when she left home to be part of the 12-member crew, including two pilots, on AI-171 from Ahmedabad to London.A few days back, Payal revealed that her college friend Preity Chatterjee also passed away in the plane crash "RIP Preity. My condolences to the Chatterjee family. #ahmedabadplanecrash," she had posted on her Instagram story. While talking about Preity, Payal said, "I knew that she was flying to London, and the moment I heard the news, I immediately checked with her family. Unfortunately, their silence itself told everything. I am absolutely in shock. She has been a friend of mine since my college days, and I simply can't believe that she is no more.""I really pray for her soul, and may her family get the strength and courage to bear this loss. Om Shanti. Not just her, my prayers for everyone who lost their lives in the crash and may God bless all their families," the actress added.
