Manipal: Dakshina Kannada MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta paid a visit to Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and held discussions with the university’s top leadership on Saturday.
During the interaction, the MP lauded MAHE for its significant contributions across various sectors, particularly in education and healthcare. He acknowledged the university’s pivotal role in shaping the region’s academic and medical landscape.
Among those present during the meeting were Pro-Chancellor Dr. H.S. Ballal, Vice-Chancellor Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M.D. Venkatesh, Pro-Vice Chancellors Dr. Sharath K. Rao and Dr. Dilip Naik, Chief Operating Officer Dr. Raviraj N.S., and Kasturba Hospital COO Dr. Anand Venugopal. Also in attendance were Registrar Dr. P. Giridhar Kini, KMC Medical Superintendent Dr. Avinash Shetty, and MAHE Estate Officer Balakrishna Prabhu, along with other senior officials from the institution.
