Mumbai, June 12: The tragic news of Air India Flight AI171 crashing shortly after its departure has left many in shock. Prominent figures from the Bollywood industry took to social media to share their condolences and sorrow over this heartbreaking event.


Akshay Kumar expressed his disbelief on X, stating, "Shocked and speechless at the Air India crash. Only prayers at this time."

The Air India Flight AI171, which was en route from Ahmedabad to London, had a total of 242 individuals on board, including both passengers and crew members.


An investigation is currently being conducted to determine the cause of the crash.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been briefed on the situation and has spoken with the Minister of Civil Aviation, Rammohan Naidu, who is heading to Ahmedabad to oversee rescue and relief efforts.
