Police Capture Fugitive Sajid
Ghaziabad: On Wednesday night, police from the Ghaziabad Wave City station apprehended Sajid, a fugitive linked to the murder of Constable Saurabh Kumar. An encounter ensued during which Sajid fired at the officers, resulting in him being shot in the leg and subsequently hospitalized.
Details of the Incident
On May 26, the Noida Police conducted a raid in Nahal village, located in the Mussoorie police station jurisdiction of Ghaziabad. During this operation, notorious criminal Qadir and his accomplices opened fire on the police team, injuring Constable Saurabh Kumar. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries. To date, authorities have arrested 16 individuals in connection with this case, while Sajid managed to evade capture.
Encounter on Dasna-Kazipur Road
According to ACP Wave City Priyanshi Pal, late Wednesday night, police were patrolling the Dasna-Kazipur road when they attempted to stop a suspicious motorcyclist. The rider fled into a rough terrain, leading to an exchange of gunfire. In the ensuing confrontation, police shot Sajid in the leg. Authorities have since recovered the motorcycle and ammunition from the scene.
