local was left horrified during Wednesday (11 June) evening's episode when police revealed they'd found her late husband Nate's phone in her home. However, people watching at home were all left saying the same thing.
The mum-of-one, played by , has certainly been having a tough time of it lately. Just last week, she was left floored after learning that Nate, played by Jurell Carter, had been murdered and his body dumped in a local river. She, and the rest of his family, had believed he was actually in Shetland working.
After police discovered Nate's phone in Tracy's house, they went to speak to her and didn't waste any time pointing the finger of blame. After taking her to the station to ask her more question about Nate's death, it wasn't long before they dropped another bombshell that didn't do her any favours.
The police revealed that there had been unusual activity on Nate's bank cards, and Tracy confessed that she had been using them to buy their daughter Frankie things. As if finding the phone in her house wasn't bad enough, the fraud admission left detectives on the case accusing her of murder.

Viewers of will know that Nate was actually killed by John Sugden, played by Oliver Farnworth, last year. At the moment, no one suspects or knows that he is behind the crime, and he managed to plant the phone in Tracy's house. She is convinced its Nate's father Cain who is trying to set her up.
Despite knowing all of this and seeing Tracy's heartbreak at the accusations, many people watching at home were delighted with the twist and rushed to share their thoughts on social media. One user penned: "I really wouldn't care if Tracy went down for Nate's murder."
Another person joked: "Sorry for laughing at John fitting up Tracy by planting the phone." And someone else quipped: "Tracy getting carted off, love to see it. Just be gone love." And a fourth user added: "Today, has been a great day. Beautiful sunshine, great food, and Tracey being escorted to the police station."
It's been revealed that as Tracy faces mounting pressure, she convinces her sister Vanessa to fabricate an alibi for her in a desperate move. watchers are buzzing with the possibility of an old familiar face returning to assist her amidst the turmoil.
Fans are convinced David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) will return to the show to 'save her,' with one commenting on an Emmerdale Facebook page: "I think David might come back and help her get out of it." Another member added: "Her ex? He might, it would be a good way to get him back."
David first appeared on the iconic soap in 2006, introduced as Eric Pollard's (Chris Chittell) son and has since been central to several major plots. His marriage to Tracy took place in 2016 but didn't stand the test of time. In a turn of events, Matthew Wolfenden left the show in 2023, resulting in David's departure hitting screens in April 2024.
