
The epic honeymoon murder of an Indore-based businessman Raja Raghuvanshi shook the country. The alleged accused Rajas wife Sonam Raghuvanshi surrendered in front of the cops and was taken into custody. According to reports Sonam along with her lover Raj Singh Kushwaha and three other accused was involved in brutally murdering Raja while he was on his honeymoon with Sonam in Shillong. While the case is extremely gruesome it reminds people of a movie with a similar storyline. Murders on honeymoon are often a subject picked by filmmakers for a crime thriller. Today we will talk about a film that portrayed the murder mystery of a couple once madly in love but later torn apart as one partner turned unfaithful. The plot may remind you of Taapsee Pannus film Haseen Dillruba. However the film were referring to was released 18 years before Haseen Dillruba. Featuring two powerhouses the movie we are talking about is the blockbuster Jism. Released in 2003 the movie was directed and edited by Amit Saxena and written by Mahesh Bhatt while Pooja Bhatt and Sujeet Kumar Singh produced it under the banner of Fish Eye Network [P] Ltd. and Shreya Creations. Headlined by John Abraham and his then-girlfriend Bipasha Basu it was a complete roller-coaster ride for all thriller movie lovers. Sonia is the wife of a rich businessman but she is only interested in his property. Aiming to murder her husband Sonia traps Kabir. And when an unemployed man falls for a rich woman he agrees to do whatever is asked of him. Soon the movie turns gruesome in ways the audience never expected. The suspense and thrill in the crime drama will give you a pit in your stomach. The movie was a huge hit and broke Johns chain of flops. Made on a budget of Rs 3.2 crore the movie earned Rs 13 crore and was declared a hit.
