WashingtonA big explosion is expected to be seen from the sky. But not afraid, it can be on the moon, not on the earth. Scientists have said that the possibility of a large Esteroid 2024 YRR4 colliding with the moon has increased in 2032. The size of this space rock is between 53 and 67 meters, which is as large as an estroid or asteroid responsible for the explosion in Tunguska (Russia) in 1908. If it had hit the earth, then an entire city could have been erased. The good news is that there is no danger to the Earth now, but the Moon is definitely in its radar.

By February 2025, scientists believed that the possibility of colliding with the moon of this asteroid is 3.8 percent. But according to the latest data from James Web Space Telescope in May 2025, now this possibility has increased to 4.3 percent.

The team of Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory scientist Andy Rivicin is leading this study. According to him, this collision will not cause any major harm to the moon. This will neither change his class, nor will he break. But this will definitely create a huge pit on the surface of the moon, which will be very exciting for scientists.

With this effect, we will get valuable information about the speed, energy and results of their conflict. However, this is not yet the final estimate because asteroid 2024 YRR4 is currently far away and it is difficult to see it. But when it comes close to the Earth again in 2028, then astronomers will be able to check the possibility of its orbit and conflict in a better way.
