man is winning the internet after helping two girls escape a “drunk creep.” His story is being widely praised for his selfless act and for sharing a powerful realisation about ''how unsafe the world can be for women.'' His four words to the ''potential harasser'' likely saved the girls from a possible mishap.
Shared on Reddit, the man recounted that it was around 11 PM when he was walking home alone from a wedding. It was just a 500-meter walk, and he had already sent his family back in the car. He wrote, “As I reached a turning that also led to the bus stand, I noticed three people ahead of me. At first glance, I thought they were together — two girls and a man walking very close behind them. But as I stepped under the streetlight and got a clearer look, I realised something was off.”
He further shared that the girls looked extremely uncomfortable. “They were walking slowly, huddled close, visibly scared. Their body language said it all. It took me a few seconds to fully process what was happening — the man following them looked drunk and predatory. Our eyes met for a moment. In theirs, I saw fear — and a silent cry for help. That was it. I immediately said, ‘Kya kar raha hai?’ in a firm voice. The moment he heard me, he panicked and ran off.”
He added, “I crossed over to the other side of the road and went to check on the girls. They were shaken. I asked them if they were okay and what had happened. They explained that they were on their way to catch a bus when this guy started following them, getting too close. They were too scared to even speak. I reassured them, walked with them to the bus stand, and made sure they were safely seated on the bus before I left.”
He concluded the post with a powerful realisation. He expressed that he had walked the entire stretch without giving his safety a second thought, while the girls couldn’t walk even a few hundred meters without fear. “It made me realise how blessed I am to be a man in a world where women constantly have to live on guard. It was messed up. And it made me respect their daily strength even more.”
As the post went viral, many users praised him for stepping in and helping the girls. One user wrote, “Good job, bhai. We are all proud of you.” Another added, “Nah, bro, you ain’t just a king—you’re the kind of man this world needs more of. Silent protector, zero show-off, all action. I can call you my dream king without a single hesitation.”
