IPL wonder boy Rinku Singh, who has played two ODIs and 33 T-20 cricket matches for the Indian cricket team, today i.e. on June 8, performed the first ritual of making Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Priya Saroj his life partner.

The engagement ceremony of cricketer Rinku Singh and MP Priya Saroj was completed at Hotel Centrum. In the presence of family members, relatives and friends, Rinku and Priya also did a pre-engagement shoot at Hotel Centrum. Rinku in a white sherwani and Priya Saroj in a light pink lehenga reached the stage holding each other's hands and completed the ritual with due rituals.

The two got engaged at the five-star hotel Centrum in Lucknow. For the engagement of Rinku-Priya, Priya's father MLA Toofani Saroj invited 300 guests including Akhilesh and Dimple Yadav. These include Jaya Bachchan, MP Pushpendra Saroj, MP Iqra Hasan, Union Minister Kamlesh Paswan and many MPs and ministers. Most of the cricketers from Rinku Singh's side are. These include former cricketers Praveen Kumar, Piyush Chawla and UP Ranji team captain Aryan Juyal.

Priya Saroj was born on 23 November 1998 in the house of Toofani Saroj and Munni Devi (Varanasi). She was elected MP from Machhlishahr in Jaunpur in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. She is the youngest MP from Uttar Pradesh. Priya is among the seven MPs who were 25 years old.

Priya defeated BP Saroj of Bharatiya Janata Party by 35,850 votes. Priya is also an advocate by profession. She practices law in the Supreme Court. Rinku Singh has scored 55 runs at an average of 27 in ODIs and 546 runs at an average of 42 in T20 International matches.
