
Zimbabwe T20I captain Sikandar Raza has filed an official complaint against the Harare Metropolitan Cricket Association, claiming racist abuse while playing a recent Vigne Cup match. The incident happened during a local match in which the experienced all-rounder was representing his club.
As per local media accounts, Raza was racially abused while he was walking off the pitch. Rainbow Cricket Club's head coach, Blessing Mafuwa, is said to have uttered the accused racist statements directly at the 39-year-old.
Test matches observers on the ground have also been said to have stood by Raza in the sad drama. The Sialkot-born has now called for stern and proper action against Rainbow Cricket Club's head coach, stating that there is no room for such conduct and racism in Zimbabwe Cricket.

"As per local reports this morning, Zimbabwe T20I captain Sikandar Raza has lodged a formal complaint with the Harare Metropolitan Cricket Association alleging racist abuse taking place against him in a recent Vigne Cup Match,"
"It is understood that Rainbow Cricket Club Head Coach Blessing Mafuwa hurled racist comments at Raza while he left the field. He has demanded a severe punishment. Investigations are underway. There is no room for racism in Zimbabwe Cricket," he added.
