Bollywood Actor Mukul Dev Passes Away at 54 in Delhi:

Suspense crime, Digital Desk : Mukul Dev, a seasoned Bollywood actor recognized for his roles in ‘Son of Sardaar’, ‘R… Rajkumar’, and ‘Jai Ho’, passed away on Friday night in Delhi at the age of 54. Dev was ailing for several days and was admitted to an ICU prior to his passing. The reason for his death is still vague.

Affirmation and Condolences

Actress Deepshikha Nagpal, a close friend, confirmed the news of his demise and paid a heartfelt tribute on Instagram Stories saying: “I can’t believe this muks… RIP”.

Actor Vindu Dara Singh, also paid tribute on X (formerly Twitter), sharing a heartbreaking video in Mukul’s rememberance. He captioned the video and said, “The time spent with you will always be cherished as your last work, Son of Sardaar 2 was dubbed as Mukul’s ‘swansong’.”

Occupation and Family Life

Mukul Dev began his acting career with Sushmita Sen in the film Dastak (1996). Later in his career, Dev was known for his humility and versitaility, appearing in movies of different genres and languages.

He dabbled in television too, featuring in Zee TV’s Mumkin and hosting Ek Se Badh Kar Ek and the first season of Fear Factor India. His last work was the Hindi film Anth The End.

Mukul was born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family that originally hailed from near Jalandhar. His father, Hari Dev, was an assistant commissioner of police with a passion for Afghan culture. Mukul was also trained in aviation at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi.

A Multifaceted Talent

Mukul’s first foray into the entertainment industry involved impersonating Michael Jackson on a televised talent show in the fourth grade. This achievement served as the foundation of his career.

It is largely accepted that he was quite versatile, having worked across television and film, hosting, and even flying.

Family and Legacy

Mukul Dev is survived by his brother actor Rahul dev. The duo enjoyed a close professional and personal relationship within the Indian film and TV scene.

The film industry mourns yet another versatile and humble actor who made indelible marks with his skills for as long as they were able to witness the life of their industry.
