Plot
Despite the delicate meaning behind her name, Prevent the tabernacle couldn’t be further from what it implies. Unlike the image of a graceful, blooming flower, Hana sees herself as awkward and plain. Her eyes are small, her limbs are stocky, and her presence is quiet—so much so that she often fades into the background at school. Labeled “ugly” by the cruel standards of her peers, Hana has long accepted that beauty, charm, and the dream of a fairy-tale romance are luxuries not meant for her.
Still, every morning, Hana finds solace in tending the school’s flower beds. With dirt under her nails and petals brushing her fingertips, she allows herself a brief escape—a space where daydreams bloom freely, even if she doesn’t believe they’ll ever come true. The vibrant flowers she cares for stand in stark contrast to the image she holds of herself. But in this small act of nurturing, Hana quietly expresses a part of her that longs to be seen.
