The agency revealed the world’s lowest habitable cities in 2025 which included the name of Pakistan’s financial capital Karachi. In 2025, Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, has secured the first position in the list in 2025. Copenhagen won after receiving perfect scores for stability, education and infrastructure, while Vienna finished second with Swiss city of Jurich. Australia’s Melbourne retained its fourth position, while Switzerland’s Geneva finished 5th in the list.

According to EIU report, 173 cities around the world were included in the evaluation. While Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, stood at the top, cities like Karachi stood at the bottom of facilities, volatility and pollution. Karachi is often called the heart and economic engine of Pakistan, but this report brought its truth to everyone. This ranking raises serious questions on Pakistan’s urban schemes, law and order and environmental crises.

According to the global report of 2025, Copenhagen has finished first this time. Vienna, the capital of Austria and the Zurich of Switzerland, finished second. Melbourne and Geneva of Australia made it to the top five. These cities have got perfect scores in areas like education, health and transport.
