When her journalist character Geeta Vishwas was written out of the series fan protests prompted the producers to bring her back. After being a part of popular series Shaktimaan she went on to play leading roles in several Telugu films. In 2007 Vaishnavi played the role of Sameeras mother Sapna in Chhoona Hai Aasmaan. In 2009 the actress played Bhaskars mother in the Sony Entertainment Television serial Bhaskar Bharti.
