
In the 1990s there was no Spider-Man or Krrish but there was one superhero who was everyone’s favourite - Shaktimaan. Children would sit in front of their TVs every morning to watch the show which used to be telecast on Doordarshan. When her journalist character Geeta Vishwas was written out of the series fan protests prompted the producers to bring her back. After being a part of popular series Shaktimaan she went on to play leading roles in several Telugu films. In 2007 Vaishnavi played the role of Sameeras mother Sapna in Chhoona Hai Aasmaan. In 2009 the actress played Bhaskars mother in the Sony Entertainment Television serial Bhaskar Bharti.
