Ride aggregators counter bike taxi ban in Karnataka with 'parcel' hack?

Following the Karnataka High Court's June 13 decision, which upheld the ban by declaring such services unlawful under the Motor Vehicles Act, frustrated commuters and service providers have resorted to an unconventional workaround. Ride aggregators reportedly adapted by offering "bike parcel" courier services, explicitly designed to let one passenger hitch a ride alongside a 'parcel' under the guise of an intra-city delivery. This ingenious tactic quickly gained traction online, with netizens widely applauding it as a prime example of 'Indian Jugaad'. On Tuesday morning, however, bike parcel options were notably missing from aggregator platforms.
