Matthew McConaughey enthusiasts are abuzz with excitement following the release of a gripping trailer for his new film, The Lost Bus.

The cinematic piece draws inspiration from Lizzie Johnson's 2021 book, Paradise: One Town's Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, and recounts the chilling tale of the 2018 Camp Fire - California's most lethal fire on record.

The plot follows a heroic bus driver as he steers a group of schoolchildren and their teacher through perilous flames to safety.

McConaughey takes on the role of the courageous driver, Kevin McCay, alongside America Ferrera who portrays Mary Ludwig, the dedicated schoolteacher.

Filming kicked off in Ruidoso, New Mexico, in April 2024, with fans eagerly awaiting the announcement of the release date.

The recently unveiled trailer features harrowing images of thick black smoke billowing from the trees, while a woman's voice on the radio reports 23 children stranded at a primary school, pleading for help.

Kevin, a father himself, rises to the occasion, navigating his bus through a forest ablaze.
