WBSSC SLST Recruitment 2025: If you are dreaming of becoming a teacher and are looking for a government job, then a golden opportunity has come for you from the West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC), after almost 10 years WBSSC has once again announced to conduct the State Level Selection Test (SLST 2025). Through this examination, a total of 35,726 assistant teachers will be recruited in government-aided and sponsored secondary and higher secondary schools. This recruitment process is not only big news for those making a career in the education sector, but it is also a great opportunity to get a permanent and respectable government post.

The registration process has started from 16 June 2025 and will run till 14 July 2025 (5 pm). The application can be done by visiting the official website www.westbengalssc.com.
Where will the appointments be made?
Class 9th–10th (Secondary): 23,212 posts
Class 11th–12th (Higher Secondary): 12,514 posts
Educational Qualification and Age Limit
Secondary Teacher: 50% marks in Graduation or Post Graduation + B.Ed
Higher Secondary Teacher: 50% marks in Post Graduation + B.Ed or B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed
Age Limit: 21 to 40 years (based on 01 January 2025)
The reserved category will get age relaxation.
Application Fee
General/OBC: ₹500
SC/ST/PH: ₹200
Fees can be deposited through debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI or challan.
Selection Process
Written Exam (60 marks)
Final selection based on educational qualification, experience, interview, and lecture demo.
Pay Scale
Assistant teachers will be paid a salary as per the pay scale of the West Bengal Government. There will be differences in salary according to the level of the post.
