Amid the ongoing online spat between Uorfi Javed and Apoorva Mukhija over their participation in the reality show, The Traitors, the former's sister, Asfi Javed, has penned a hard-hitting note, lashing out the fans and supporters of the latter. She stated that Uorfi was being constantly subjected to hate and abuse, and called Apoorva out for "milking" the show for fame.Asfi took to her Instagram and penned a note which read, "Today is a day Uorfi has gone through huge trolling, hate and abuses on the internet, this is nothing new for her but today it has hit differently. If anyone truly knows Uorfi, it's us - her family. We've seen her survive storms most can't even imagine. She has lived on the streets, worked tirelessly to earn her living and support her family. Anyone who has actually worked with her, her friends and family will vouch for her heart. It's deeply disheartening to see how easily narratives can be twisted. That's not the whole story - and it never will be (sic)."Defending Uorfi in her fight with Apoorva, Asfi further wrote, "Uorfi stood for herself against disrespect, what she said was a reaction to an action, yes the words weren't right but deliberately breaking someone's morale and bullying on internet for clout or convenience isn't cool. Anyway it's one bad day but hoping for a better tomorrow for all (sic)."In the caption along with the post, Asfi wrote that while they too are all game for drama and fun, it has gone too far this time. "But reality shows ke situations ko kitna milk karna hain for fame and PR and to what extent can be a choice one can make. We are so not supporting online bullying and harassment," she wrote.Taking a dig at Apoorva's YouTube segment 'Storytime', in which she claimed that Uorfi abused her off the cameras on the sets of The Traitors, Asfi added, "Just because someone has huge audiences for their Storytime doesn’t necessarily make it entirely a true story... It’s just not cool and never will be! (sic)."What is The Traitors controversy between Uorfi and Apoorva? It all began after Apoorva, in her online segment, Storytime, claimed that during the shoot of The Traitors, Uorfi yelled at her and insulted her in front of the other contestants when the cameras were not rolling, and that she even hurled expletives at her.Uorfi then said that while the two had earlier "planned" to stage a war of words online around the release of The Traitors to create buzz, Apoorva took it a notch higher, and was now trying to portray her as the villain. She also clarified that Apoorva abused her first when she went to console her during one of her weak moments, but The Rebel Kid instead abused her and asked her to leave, and that is when Uorfi raised her voice and took a stand for herself as she felt disrespected."She is painting me into this villain that I am not. I am literally shivering right now," Uorfi said in her video on Monday.Apoorva is yet to react to Uorfi and Asfi's statements.
