is reportedly pushing for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to reinstate flights to Britain following a ban due to safety concerns. This comes as the UK Government reportedly wants are deported back to their home country. High-level meetings attended by were held last month between FCDO ministers and the Pakistan government where deportations were discussed, reports.
Three men born in Pakistan who were found guilty of grooming gang offences are the subject of the ongoing negotiations between the two governments, it is understood. Government sources claimed that ministers were hoping to have a plan to deport all three men prior to Baroness Casey's report into grooming gangs, which is due to be published this week.

In December 2021, all Pakistani air services, including Pakistan International Airlines, were banned from flying to and from the UK due to international safety concerns. The UK Department for Transport confirmed in March 2025 that PIA was still banned from flying to and from the UK, saying "airlines must go through a rigorous procedure to have restrictions lifted".
The news channel reports that Pakistani ministers had raised concerns that the grooming gang deportations to Pakistan - the first in over a decade - could "open the floodgates".
Last week, Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer confirmed that he accepted the recommendations of a national child grooming gang enquiry after months of outrage.
Baroness Casey was asked by the Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper, to conduct a "rapid audit" of the "current scale and nature of gang-based exploitation across the country".
Sir Keir said, while on his way to Canada, that the conclusions from the audit will be accepted by the government.

He also confirmed that the national probe will be a statutory inquiry under the inquiries act, which gives the probe the ability to compel witnesses to testify.
Further details will be set out in due course, as the prime minister said it will "take a bit of time" to organise logistics.
A Home Office spokesperson told GB News: "We will always do everything in our power to ensure that foreign nationals who commit heinous crimes in the UK are not left free on our streets after they complete their sentence, including seeking their deportation from the UK.
"The UK and Pakistan are working in partnership on shared migration and return priorities.
"Both countries recognise and respect our common obligations to return those with no right to remain in our respective countries."
