Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Doctors of Madhya Pradesh’s Chhatarpur removed a 5 rupee coin from the throat of a 3.5-year-old girl without surgery and saved her life within a few hours.

The girl’s parents had earlier taken the girl to a hospital in Delhi, where doctors had advised surgery but could not guarantee success. Disheartened, they brought her to Chhatarpur, where Dr Manoj Chaudhary safely removed the coin.

The girl, Divyanshi Rajak, is the daughter of Anadi Rajak, a labourer from Budera village in Tikamgarh district.

The incident occurred five days ago in Delhi, where the coin got lodged in her food pipe. The doctors in Delhi recommended surgery, but the parents were worried due to the risks involved.

Child is now out of danger

This is when a family acquaintance, Premnarayan, suggested they consult Dr. Manoj Chaudhary in Chhatarpur.

On Sunday morning, the family reached the district, where Dr. Chaudhary was able to remove the coin without surgery after a careful procedure.

Dr. Chaudhary explained that the coin was stuck in the food pipe, which made it difficult for the child to eat solid food.

She had been surviving only on liquids for several days. There was a risk of internal injuries if the coin remained there longer.

Fortunately, the procedure went smoothly, and the child is now healthy.

The family expressed deep gratitude to Dr. Chaudhary for saving their daughter’s life.
