Tejashwi Yadav's Strong Criticism of Bihar Government

Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the leader of the opposition in the Bihar Assembly, has launched a fierce critique against the government led by Nitish Kumar. He accused the NDA leaders and relatives of retired bureaucrats of being appointed to various positions, including the chairpersons and members of state commissions, such as the State Women's Commission. Commenting sarcastically on the formation of several commissions and appointments, Tejashwi suggested that the Nitish Kumar administration should officially establish a 'Jamai Commission' (Son-in-law Commission) to accommodate the close relatives of political leaders. He questioned whether this is not a clear example of nepotism.

While addressing the media, the RJD leader urged the Chief Minister to formally create the Jamai Commission in Bihar. He claimed that appointments are now made based on personal connections rather than merit. Tejashwi alleged that the sons-in-law of prominent political figures like the late Ram Vilas Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Ashok Chaudhary have been given significant roles in various commissions.

Tejashwi also raised concerns regarding the appointment of the wife of the Chief Minister's principal secretary, Deepak Prasad, to the Women's Commission. He remarked, "She has been appointed as an academician. Was there no one else available? Shockingly, she concealed her husband's name and registered her father's name instead." He asserted that over 50% of the ministers in the NDA government under Nitish Kumar, including the Deputy Chief Minister, are products of dynastic politics. Despite this, Lalu Prasad often faces criticism for promoting dynastic politics.
