A big accident has occurred due to the collapse of the bridge over the Indrayani river. 6 people have died in this accident and more than 20 people have been washed away in the river water. There has been an uproar as soon as this news is received. Minister of Maharashtra government has left for the spot. It is being said that the victims of the accident had gone to see the flow of water in the river and at the same time this accident happened due to the collapse of the bridge. MLA Sunil Shelke has confirmed the death of 6 people due to drowning in the river. The death toll may increase.
Rescue work continues
The reason for the accident is being said to be the weakening of the bridge. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also expressed grief over the accident and consoled the victim families. Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “Rescue work is going on at the scene.” The bridge was closed for the last few days. People came to see the growing water and an accident happened. The rescue team has saved 6 people.
As soon as the incident was reported, the local police and district administration teams have started in relief and rescue work. A search operation is being carried out in the river. A large crowd has gathered at the scene and there is an atmosphere of panic among the people. The administration has appealed to the people not to accumulate unnecessarily around the river and the situation is being closely monitored.
