Tottenham Hotspurs Seal Permanent Deal For Bayern Munich Winger

Premier League outfit and reigning UEFA Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspurs have sealed a permanent move for French winger Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich, as the 21-year-old joins the side for a fee of 36 Milllion Euros.

The right-footed player has signed a six-year deal with Spurs after spending the latter half of the 2024/25 season at the club, where he managed merely 3 goals and an assist during his 20 appearances across all competitions.

Tottenham Hotspurs scripted a record-breaking 2024/25 season, where they ended their trophy drought by lifting the UEFA Europa League trophy with defeat of fellow Premier League side Manchester United in Bilbao.

However, they also scripted an unwanted record by losing 22 league matches but avoiding relegation, a first instance in the history of the Premier League.

"We are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Mathys Tel from FC Bayern."

"Mathys joined the Club from the Bundesliga side in February on loan until the end of the season with an option to make the move permanent. We can confirm we have agreed a deal with Bayern that will see the France Under-21 international sign a contract that will run until 2031 when his current loan deal ends on 30 June."

"He made his debut for the Club as a substitute against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup before marking his first start with a goal against Aston Villa in the Emirates FA Cup. His first Premier League strike came from the penalty spot in a 3-1 win over Southampton in April. The versatile forward made 20 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring 3 goals."
