ABP Live Business | June 15, 2025 8:11 PM CST

While most financial transactions are now accessible through online platforms, certain banking activities still require a physical visit to a bank branch. Hence, being aware of the official bank holiday schedule becomes essential to avoid any inconvenience.

As per the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) bank holiday calendar, banks across the country will remain closed only once during the upcoming week, on Sunday, June 22, 2025.

This closure falls under the standard weekly holiday, as all banking institutions nationwide observe a shutdown every Sunday. No state-specific or festival-based holidays are scheduled for this particular week, making it a relatively uninterrupted week for banking services.

Are Banks Open On Saturday, June 21?

Customers planning to visit banks on Saturday, June 21 can do so without any disruption. Being the third Saturday of the month, banks will remain open as usual. According to RBI norms, banks are only closed on the second and fourth Saturdays. Therefore, regular banking operations, including counter services, will be functional across all branches on this day.
