After creating waves in cinemas earlier this year, Raid 2 is all set to take over the digital screens. Headlining the sequel once again, Ajay Devgn reprises his role as the determined and stoic Indian Revenue Service officer Amay Patnaik.
Inspired by the real-life 1980s income tax raid on businessman Sardar Inder Singh—one of India’s longest and most sensational raids—Raid 2 continues to shed light on the cat-and-mouse battle between an honest taxman and the corrupt elite.
Raid 2 OTT Release Date
The much-anticipated sequel to the 2018 sleeper hit Raid will begin streaming on Netflix from June 27, 2025, giving fans another deep dive into a world of high-stakes justice, corruption, and white-collar crime.
Raid 2 Cast
Taking over the female lead mantle from Ileana D’Cruz is Vaani Kapoor, who stars opposite Devgn in this installment. The film also ropes in Riteish Deshmukh in a pivotal role, adding more star power and intrigue to the narrative.
Raid 2 Reviews
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, who also helmed the original, the film is penned by Ritesh Shah, Jaideep Yadav, Karan Vyas, and Gupta himself. Produced by Panorama Studios and T-Series, with Abhishek Pathak, Pragya Singh, Krishan Kumar, Gaurav Nanda, Bhushan Kumar, and Kumar Mangat Pathak backing the project, Raid 2 hit theatres on May 1.
While critics and audiences praised the performances and real-life inspiration, some felt the pacing and narrative could have been tighter.
Raid 2 Streams June 27 on Netflix
Staying true to the investigative thriller genre that made its predecessor so gripping, Raid 2 raises the stakes and pits Devgn’s unwavering IRS officer against an even mightier opposition. For those who enjoy thrillers rooted in reality or missed catching it in cinemas, the Netflix premiere on June 27 is one not to be missed!
