Weather Update: Sunday morning brought relief to the people of Delhi-NCR. The capital, which is facing severe heat, witnessed heavy rains accompanied by strong winds early this morning, due to which the temperature dropped and the weather also became pleasant.

This spell of rain and storm not only brought relief from the heat but also made the weather pleasant. In the morning, dark clouds covered many areas and within a short time, heavy rain started.

Winds blowing at a speed of 80 to 100 kilometers per hour

The Meteorological Department (IMD) posted on social media and informed that moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorms has been recorded in Delhi and NCR. Along with this, strong winds blew at a speed of 80 to 100 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has warned that in such a situation people should stay indoors and avoid traveling outside unless there is some urgent work.

The Meteorological Department had already predicted rain with strong winds in Delhi. The department had especially advised farmers and common citizens to remain alert. Scientists had said that the weather can change suddenly and due to this people should take all necessary safety measures.

Relief from scorching heat and humidity

After the rain, water accumulated on the roads of Delhi, due to which the traffic slowed down at some places. But after the rain, Delhiites felt fresh and cool. Amidst the scorching heat and humidity, this rain proved to be a relief for the people.
