How did chocolate chip cookie invented

In the 1930s, the Whitman of Massachusetts in the US had a small inn named ‘Toll House in’ which Ruth Wakefield and her husband ran. Ruth was a great cook and used to make delicious dishes for her guests. One day Ruth was preparing to make chocolate cookies, but then he saw that cocoa powder was finished with them. How to make cookies in such a situation?

Ruth noticed that he had a semi-sweeter chocolate bar of Nestle. They thought why not cut this chocolate bar into small pieces and mix it in cookie flour? He felt that the chocolate would melt and dissolve completely in the cookie, as it is with coco powder. But when the cookies made in this manner came out of the oven, the chocolate was not completely melted but remained in the cookie of small chocolate and got a unique taste and texture when it was eaten. The guests liked this new cookie so much that the toll house immediately became a hit. Ruth Wakefield was awarded the status of ‘Massachusetts State Cookie’ in 1997 for the discovery of chocolate chip cookie.

Nestle and chocolate chips begin the journey

Soon the recipe of Ruth’s ‘Toll House Chocolate Crunch Cooki’ started becoming famous. Now many people wanted to make it at their home and for this the demand for Nestle Chocolate Bar started increasing. Nestle redeemed the opportunity and entered into an agreement with Ruth. He promised to give Ruth for a lifetime free chocolate and in turn sought permission to print his recipe on his chocolate bar packet. In 1939, Nestle began making ‘chocolate chips’ .. These were small chocolate pieces that were specially made for cookies. In this way, chocolate chip cookie became famous not only in America but all over the world. Even today, Ruth’s original recipe is printed on the packet of Nestle toll house.
