Suspense crime, Digital Desk : As India’s electric scooter market continues its explosive growth, driven by high petrol prices, environmental concerns, and a shift in consumer mindset, Japanese automotive giant Suzuki is preparing to make its much-anticipated entry. The company is set to unveil the Suzuki e-Access, a smart and powerful electric scooter specifically engineered for the challenges of Indian urban mobility.
Designed to conquer the demands of daily city commutes, the e-Access is built around a robust 3.07 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This power source is expected to deliver a practical range of approximately 96 kilometers on a single charge. Critically, it will feature fast-charging capabilities, allowing the battery to be fully replenished in just over two hours, a major convenience for busy riders.
Powering the scooter is a 4.1 kW motor that generates an impressive 15 Nm of torque, ensuring brisk acceleration from a standstill. With a projected top speed of 71 km/h, the e-Access promises to be a nimble and capable performer on city streets.
Beyond its performance credentials, the Suzuki e-Access positions itself as a smart, modern companion. Riders can expect a suite of contemporary tech, including Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts directly on the vibrant TFT display, keyless ignition, and three distinct riding modes (Eco, Ride A, and Ride B) to suit different conditions. Thoughtful, practical features like generous underseat storage, a passenger footrest, a carry hook, and the convenience of push-button and remote start have also been incorporated.
Poised to shake up the competitive Indian market, the Suzuki e-Access is tentatively scheduled for a launch in September 2025. With an estimated ex-showroom price hovering between ₹90,000 and ₹1 lakh, it is set to offer a compelling package of performance, smart features, and trusted Suzuki engineering, making it a formidable new contender in India’s electric revolution.
