
‘Housefull 5’, featuring an ensemble cast led by Akshay Kumar, continues its impressive box office run. Released on June 6, the fifth film in the popular franchise has already crossed the Rs 200 crore mark worldwide and is approaching Rs 150 crore in India.
According to estimates by trade tracker Sacnilk, the film has collected approximately Rs 141.8 crore net in India within nine days of release.
Housefull 5 domestic earnings
Despite entering its second week, the film has retained audience interest. On its second Saturday alone, Housefull 5 brought in an estimated Rs 8.55 crore net, following Rs 6 crore on its second Friday. The first week closed with a robust Rs 127.25 crore in domestic earnings.
Occupancy rates remain healthy, with over 16.39% overall on Saturday, and stronger turnouts recorded during the afternoon and evening shows. Interestingly, the film is witnessing higher engagement in Chennai (29.67%) than in traditional strongholds like Mumbai (18%) and Delhi (19%).

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, ‘Housefull 5’ marks a significant continuation of the comedy franchise that began in 2010. With each installment helmed by a different director, this latest film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Notably, the movie offers a unique twist—two different climaxes with different killers, depending on the theatre where it’s viewed.
Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh have appeared in all five films, while Abhishek Bachchan returned to the franchise after his appearance in ‘Housefull 3’. This installment also stars Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Soundarya Sharma.
