Following the success of 'Amar Singh Chamkila', filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is set to collaborate once more with Diljit Dosanjh on a new theatrical venture. This upcoming film promises to deliver a poignant tale of love and yearning, with filming scheduled to commence in August 2025. Audiences can expect its release in theatres on Baisakhi 2026.

In addition to Diljit Dosanjh, the film will feature renowned actors Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari. This project marks a reunion of the iconic trio: A.R. Rahman, Irshad Kamil, and Imtiaz Ali, who have previously collaborated on memorable works.

Imtiaz Ali shared a beautiful quote from the poet Momin to announce the film: 'You are with me, however, When there is no one else.' This sentiment encapsulates the film's essence.

The narrative is described as a journey of a boy and a girl, intertwined with themes of national identity. Ali expressed, 'Can love truly be lost? Can a home be taken from someone’s heart? Upcoming Netflix Project
On another note, Imtiaz Ali is also working on a project titled 'O Saathi' for Netflix, featuring Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwary, and Arjun Rampal. The production team described it as 'an ode to the vintage feeling of love in contemporary times.'
