We spent some time driving the Harrier EV yesterday but we also spent more time looking at the interior while also checking out the rear seat space. At this premium segment, there is a good chance that owners would be chauffeured too and we found out that the experience is better over the diesel Harrier.
The rear seat at first seems like the Harrier only but the different upholstery, panoramic sunroof and the lighter colours add a sense of space further. Now, the rear seat has pretty good legroom and headroom is decent got 6ft passengers but we did notice that you sit a bit knees up due to the battery placement. That said, there is a flat floor and the wide rear seat means that three can sit comfortably with ample legroom for the middle passenger.
However, a middle seat headrest is missing. Other bits we liked included the new comfort headrest which is a nice touch while there are specific vents which cool down the cabin well. There are sunshades too and fast chargers which is convenient. Finally, the powered boss mode enables you to adjust the front passenger seat electrically and that's a plus point which is also there on the Safari. You can adjust the front passenger seat and enhance the legroom which is crucial.
Overall, the armrest position, practicality and the space along with the JBL speakers makes this a comfortable rear seat while being more premium than the ICE Harrier.
