A plane crash survivor who narrowly avoided death reveals he was sitting in the same lucky seat as the . Yesterday, , 40, was found to be the only person to walk away from the plane crash in India after the Boeing plummeted to the ground. Just after taking off in Ahmedabad on Thursday, flight 171 exploded in a fire ball after crashing into a building.

Authorities said 242 people were onboard, including 53 British nationals, who were meant to fly to Gatwick airport. However, moments before the flight crashed in the city, a chilling mayday call from pilots was received, signalling the aircraft was in danger. Ruangsak Loychusak has now come out to share that he was seated in the same position as Vishwash before his Thai Airways flight saw the same fate.

Flight TG261 from Bangkok to India crashed after it stalled and plunged into a swamp, horrifically killing 101 people on board. Forty-five people were also left injured out of the 132 passengers and 14 crew members.

Ruangsak was seated in 11A when the Airbus crashed in 1998, which left him with "goosebumps" when he heard of the sole survivor from the Air India disaster.

"The lone survivor of the plane crash in India was sitting in the same seat number as me, 11A," the Thai Airways survivor said. "I want to offer my condolences to all those who lost loved ones in the tragedy."

He verified his matching seat number through newspaper reports from the time of the event, also claiming the data would be available on the flight records.

"I had difficulty flying for 10 years after the crash. I would struggle to breathe, even though the air circulation was normal," Ruangsak admitted.

He continued: "I avoided speaking to anyone and always stared outside the window, blocking anyone from closing it to maintain my sense of safety.

"If I saw dark clouds or a rainstorm outside, I would feel terrible, like I was in hell.

"I can still remember the sounds, smells, and even the taste of the water in the swamp the plane crashed into.

"For a long time, I would keep the feelings to myself."
