Eamonn Holmes rants about 'horrible' former co-stars and brands them 'false, false, false'

GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes didn't mince his words about former colleagues in the industry, slating some as "horrible" and repeatedly calling them "false, false, false".

On his latest podcast episode of , Eamonn was joined by co-presenter Paul Coyte and tough guy actor Ray Winstone. During a candid conversation, The Departed actor Ray shared insights on his life in Los Angeles and how the Hollywood buzz led him back to the UK, starting Eamonn on a scathing rant about the entertainment .

Ray said: “I couldn’t live in LA, it’s constant,” and pointed out: "Even the guy who puts petrol in your car works in the industry. It's like every two minutes, it's all they want to talk about.

"We talk about birds and football and , you know, they talk about movies. Hollywood and Los Angeles are wonderful places when you're doing alright, but when you're not."

Eamonn, fresh from his departure from his long-standing gig at , jumped in to sound off on his disdain for phony relationships within showbiz circles, reports .

The seasoned presenter, not shy about his feelings regarding people in the biz, spoke in a mocking tone: "'I don't like this character, I don't like so and so, I like that person, I didn't get on with them,'" before hinting at similarities between himself and Winstone, saying, "That's what the business is based on. I mean, I'm like you [Ray Winstone]. I get myself into trouble because if I don't like someone, they'll know I don't like them."

Adding fuel to the fire, Eamonn remarked on the frequent hypocrisy he encounters, noting: "And there are so many horrible people that you end up with. People say: 'Oh, he's lovely, he's fantastic'."

Eamonn Holmes has recently shared his candid views on celebrity genuineness, stating: "If they say to me: 'What's that Ray Winstone like?' I'll say he is lovely and he is fantastic and people will believe me because I wouldn't say it if you weren't, but so many are just false, false, false."

While discussing the authenticity of stars in showbiz, all three men found common ground, although they refrained from naming individuals associated with their sentiments.

Rumours once circled about a rift between Eamonn and his former GMTV co-star Anthea Turner during the 90s, but both have indicated that any past issues have been resolved.

In recent times, Eamonn has not held back on expressing his opinions about ex-This Morning presenter following Phillip's departure from due to a controversial relationship with a younger man within the company.

Taking a firm stance on Phillip's troubles, Eamonn commented in October 2024 that he was "absolutely addicted to fame," and explained that Phillip, who remains absent from our screens, "deserves to be in exile".
