The Indian edition of the globally popular reality series 'The Traitors' made a dramatic debut on Prime Video with its first three episodes, delivering high-stakes suspense and early eliminations that have left audiences hooked. Hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, the game revolves around manipulation, hidden alliances, and psychological warfare, where trust is currency and betrayal is lethal.

Raj Kundra gets eliminated from The Traitors

One of the show’s earliest shockers came in Episode 2, when businessman and public figure Raj Kundra, who also happens to be actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband, was unveiled as one of the titular "traitors". Despite entering the game with a strategy to build camaraderie, Kundra’s stint was cut short when fellow contestant Apoorva Mukhija correctly identified him as a traitor—leading to his elimination via majority vote.

“I came to The Traitors to win hearts & friends. As I take an exit, I feel that my wife is right. She says that I cannot lie to save my life, and it’s not who I am. I am glad that I stayed true to myself. I extend my best wishes to all the participants of The Traitors," Raj said.

Other evictions from The Traitors

Kundra wasn’t the only contestant to face the axe. Actor Sahil Salathia became the first to be eliminated by the traitor trio—Raj, Elnaaz Norouzi, and Purav Jha—before Raj himself was unmasked. Later, Lakshmi Manchu was shown the door by Elnaaz and Purav, after Raj’s exit reshaped the secret alliance. In another dramatic moment, Karan Kundrra was eliminated during a tense roundtable debate.

The gameplay of 'The Traitors' hinges on secrecy, strategy, and social deduction. Contestants are secretly divided into ‘Faithful’ and ‘Traitors’. The Faithful must uncover the identities of the Traitors, who, in turn, must stay hidden while plotting eliminations.
