In a shocking news famous industrialist Sunjay Kapur passed away at the age of 53. According to media reports Kapur was playing polo when he suffered a heart attack. He was in the UK when he took his last breath. Sunjay is actress Karisma Kapoors ex-husband. After his divorce with Kapoor he tied the knot with Priya Sachdev. Sunjay and Karismas wedding was the highlight of 2003. Before getting married to Sunjay Karisma was in a relationship with Amitabh Bachchans son Abhishek Bachchan. The two were reportedly set to tie the knot. However things changed and in 2003 the actress and the industrialist got married. Reason behind divorce of Karisma and Sunjay Ever since Karisma and Sunjay were married things between the two were not smooth. Many might not know but Kapur was already married once before tying the knot with Karisma and the wedding with Karisma marked his second formal relationship. According to the Raja Hindustani actress soon after the wedding when she and Kapur went for their honeymoon her husband asked her to sleep with his friends. In an interview according to a report by ViralEnaTalk.com she said When we were on our honeymoon Sanjay had quoted my price with his friends. He even forced me to spend a night with his friends. Sanjay used to hit me a lot and I used to hide the wounds by applying makeup on my face. When things went out of control I had no option left but to file a police complaint. Another media report also claims that Sunjay used to discuss Karismas expenses with her brother. With more time passing Karisma realised that Kapur only tied the knot with her because she was one of the top actresses of that time and this would also bring attention to him. Karisma revealed that his hidden agenda was to showcase her as a trophy wife within his Delhi social circle where he was trying to establish his prominence at the time. Soon things started to get violent too. Without taking it anymore Karisma filed a complaint against her in-laws and moved out of that marriage 11 years later. The two were together from 2003 to 2016. The couple shares two children Samaira Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor. Karisma Kapoor was granted custody of both and the trio now resides in Mumbai. After divorce with Karisma Sunjay married Priya Sachdev and they are parents to a son.
