Ladli Behna Yojana Update: ₹1,250 to Be Credited to 1.27 Crore Women on June 13 — But Read This Before You Celebrate
In a major announcement, the Madhya Pradesh government is set to transfer the 25th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana on June 13, benefiting 1.27 crore women across the state. Each eligible woman will receive ₹1,250 directly into her bank account. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will officially release this installment during a program in Jabalpur. He confirmed this through a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating:
“On June 13, I will transfer ₹1,250 to the accounts of beneficiaries as the 25th installment of the Ladli Behna Yojana.”
While this scheme has provided much-needed financial assistance to millions, the state administration has also identified a concerning trend — a rising number of fraudulent beneficiaries misusing the scheme by submitting fake documents. In response, the government has already removed over 1.63 lakh names from the scheme and is intensifying verification efforts to catch further misuse.

Strict Scrutiny Underway
Authorities have found that some women have created multiple Samagra IDs to draw benefits unfairly. To combat this, the government is now enforcing e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) for all beneficiaries. Additionally, data from the Ladli Behna Yojana will be shared across various departments to spot inconsistencies or fraudulent claims. If you're availing benefits without fulfilling the necessary criteria, it’s advisable to exit the scheme voluntarily to avoid penalties.
These 9 Conditions Must Be Met — Or You May Be Disqualified
Here are the 9 key eligibility conditions under the Ladli Behna Yojana. If even one of these is not met, your name may be removed:

-
The woman or her family must not own a four-wheeler, except a tractor.
-
The total land owned by the family should not exceed 5 acres.
-
Monthly government aid from other schemes should not exceed ₹1,000.

-
The woman or her family should not be appointed to government boards, corporations, commissions, or public enterprises in any official capacity.
How to Voluntarily Exit the Scheme
If you find yourself violating any of these rules, it’s better to voluntarily surrender the benefits to avoid legal consequences or future recovery demands.
Here’s how to opt-out:
-
Visit the official Ladli Behna Yojana portal.
-
Enter your Samagra ID or registered mobile number.
-
Verify using the OTP sent to your number.
-
You'll see an option saying: “I voluntarily wish to surrender the assistance amount.”
-
Check the box, click ‘Save’, and complete the process.
⚠️ Important: Once surrendered, you cannot rejoin the scheme later.
Final Thoughts
The Ladli Behna Yojana is a commendable effort by the Madhya Pradesh government to empower women economically. However, its effectiveness depends on ensuring that only genuine beneficiaries receive the support. If you are not eligible, stepping back voluntarily is not only a legal duty but a moral one — ensuring that the benefits reach those who truly need them.
