

New Delhi : EPFO associated with Provident Fund has recently said important things. The EPFO has informed that in the current financial year, EPFO has settled about 50 percent claim within just 3 days. A senior officer has given this information.
Referring to the data till June 5, this officer said that the Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO has settled a total of 68.96 lakh claims within 3 days between April 1, 2025 to June 5, 2025. He said that the ratio of the claim settled in this way was about 39 percent i.e. 2.34 crores in FY 2024-25.
The official said that the ratio of the clam settled within 3 days is expected to increase rapidly as the EPFO will soon increase the automated claim settlement limit from the current Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
Giving information, this officer has said that there is no need for the approval of EPFO’s top official Central Board of CBT i.e. CBT for an edge in this limit. He said that this work can be done by the Executive Head of EPFO i.e. the Central Provident Fund Commissioner.
The Central Board of Rusty Board consists of Employees and Trade Union Representatives while it is headed by the Union Minister of Labor and Employment. Currently, all the eligible withdrawal claims up to Rs 1 lakh are settled with automated methared, provided all the necessary conditions are met. EPFO advance claims up to Rs 1 lakh for health, residential, educational and marriage were settled in only 3 days.

The final goal of EPFO is to settle all types of claims like pension, group insurance and EPF withdrawal within 72 hours of filing. The official said that the body is working on methods of dealing with old figures, due to which this claim settlement process is delayed. EPFO has more than 7 crore contributors.
