In a shocking turn of events, a 27-year-old woman in Sangli, Maharashtra, has been accused of murdering her husband just 15 days after their wedding. This incident follows the recent revelation of the murder of businessman Raja Raghuvanshi in Indore.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 12:30 AM on Tuesday when the woman's husband, Anil Lokhande, 53, allegedly pressured her for physical relations, leading to a violent confrontation.
Authorities confirmed that the woman has been taken into custody.
Background of the Victim
Anil Lokhande, a resident of the Kupwad tehsil in Sangli district, was previously married, but his first wife passed away due to cancer. Following this, he remarried, but tensions reportedly escalated shortly after the wedding over intimate relations.
A police officer from the Kupwad MIDC station stated, 'Radhika, feeling aggrieved, attacked her husband with an axe while he was asleep.'
Legal Proceedings
The woman has been arrested, and a case has been registered against her under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
