
Meher Mirchandani belongs to a business tycoon family. She was a fashion designer but then also became an entrepreneur and leadership coach which was a different path than others. “I’m super grateful. I don’t see privilege as a weakness. If you’ve been given a lot you have a lot of responsibility” says Meher in an interview to Gulf news. She also co-leads the Dubai-based Palmon Group and Manrre Logistics Fund. She added “As soon as I joined the family business I wanted to make sure we were leading a conscious business and a conscious life.” At 22 she was one of Dubai’s first homegrown fashion designers and wanted to show her creations in the catwalks of New York Fashion Week. “I did this beautiful ad for ADCB where I said I’d feel most fulfilled on the catwalk of NYFW. I could visualise it” she said. At the same time she started feeling burdened. She was married pregnant with twins. During this period she began to question everything. “That’s when the questioning started: Do I really want this life? I kept struggling with what is missing in my life. Who do I want to be?” she added. “There was something so wrong with my mental well-being that my body was showing it” she says. She also went through worst experiences like a car accident a hospitalised vertigo attack and even a ripped rib cage from a mild cough. “My body was resisting. I knew there was something missing’’ she added. After this she took on a lot of healing like Theta Healing quantum healing past-life regression therapy. She started living a glamorous life and asked herself ‘’What is the life I want?” She paused her fashion label and joined her family’s Palmon Group in 2013 as Managing Director. At the time Palmon Group was working on several businesses like residential assets the Marina-based Marinascape Mall facilities management furniture and kitchens and warehousing. They had a facilities management company with 350 to 400 people. Then with her brother and father she co-founded the Mannre Logistics Fund. “We started with $80 million. Today we’ve acquired assets worth close to $200 million [around Dh734 million)]’’ she said in same interview. Through the Palmon Foundation she works for children in India Bangladesh and Nepal.
