A shocking revelation has been revealed in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi, a resident of Indore during a honeymoon in Shillong, Meghalaya. 17 days after the disappearance, his wife Sonam met at a dhaba in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. After this, Meghalaya Director General of Police Idasisha Nongrang claimed that Sonam had given betel nut to kill her husband Raja.

Police have so far detained five suspects in this case. These include Raj Kushwaha and Vishal Chauhan from Indore, Akash Rajput from nearby area, Anand Kurmi from Basahari village of Bina, and Akash Lodhi from Digwar village in Lalitpur district of UP. All are being questioned.

However, Sonam’s father has dismissed the allegations outright. He says that his daughter is innocent and has been a victim of a conspiracy.

Doubt increased due to guide testimony

Local guide Albert Pad said that on May 23, he saw Raja and Sonam going to Mawlakiyat with three other youths. He told that the four men were walking forward, while Sonam was behind. They were all talking in Hindi, although the guide did not understand the language.

According to the guide, these people spent the night in ‘Shipara Homestay’ and returned the next day without a guide. Interestingly, the couple’s scooter was found far away from the parking lot, in Soharrim and there was also a key in it.

Dead body found 10 days after murder

The body of King Raghuvanshi, who went missing on 23 May, was recovered from a deep ditch on 2 June. Many links have been added to the case so far, but who is the main conspirator – the police is still investigating.
