With arrest directives being handed out over the FaceTime app around the same time protesters began fighting with police, rumors of LAPD having control over the situation were proven untrue.

Violence Prevention Workers Newsom Calls To Stay Calm Warns Of Further Violence

Gavin Newsom urged for a peaceful protest and calm the people with social media and says:

“L.A is calm and peaceful. Extreme elements and groups are trying to provoke the us, let us not give them what they want.”

He also said that Trump should not have suggested sending US Marines, that is going too far, when the LAPD was already handling the protests without any issues.

Certain groups have started to fight the prohibition of a mask as a breach of constitutional legislation and right of free speech as well as protection for the weak.
