Created by GTA producer Leslie Benzies, MindsEye is a new open-world-style action game with cyberpunk elements.

While it's been touted as a potential competitor, MindsEye seemingly features a more linear campaign that's more akin to the original Mafia than 5. As such, fans can expect a more carefully crafted narrative with an open-world backdrop.

Before we explore some of the early impressions and gameplay style, MindsEye has a June 10 release date on , Xbox Series X|S and PC.

According to the timer on PSN and Steam, MindsEye will have a 6pm BST UK release time.

Fans who pre-order the game ahead of launch will receive access to "deluxe content" at no extra cost.

This includes the Premium Pass, as well as various additional skins and items available as DLC.

According to developer Build A Rocket Boy, the Premium Pass contains a Horde Mode mission, as well as new missions and challenges releasing throughout 2025 and 2026.

You'll also receive the Thorn and Kepler Yellowjacket Weapon, the Jacob Vest Skin, a new Drone Skin and a new Silva Sedan Vehicle Skin.

Based on early gameplay footage, MindsEye appears to be a cross between GTA, Watch Dogs and Cyberpunk 2077.

You play as an elite soldier named Jacob Diaz, who is fitted with a neural implant and with access other formiddable technology.

"Play as Jacob Diaz, a former elite soldier fitted with The MindsEye, a mysterious neural implant that haunts him with fragmented memories of a covert mission that changed his life forever," reads the official description.

"Fight to uncover the truth in a world where AI, high-tech experimentation, and unchecked military power shape every encounter.

"Jacob isn't the only one searching for answers, forces working from the shadows may be more powerful and dangerous than he ever imagined.

"Get ready for intense combat - on foot, behind the wheel, and in the air - where every decision can mean the difference between survival and defeat."

As you can see from the gameplay breakdown above, MindsEye will also come with a creation tool that hopefully will be made available on all platforms and not just PC.

This tool lets players create their own gameplay experiences, something that should help to flesh out the open-world experience, campaign and online.

Speaking of the campaign, the story is said to last for around 15-20 hours, which is shorter than fans of similar games will expect.

As revealed during the recent Summer Game Fest event, Agent 47 will make an appearance as part of an upcoming mission.

The MindsEye x Hitman campaign will be available as part of an upcoming update launching in July.
