Viewers of Ginny and Georgia were left utterly agape as the third series finale of the Netflix sensation delivered a jaw-dropping revelation regarding Georgia Randolph (portrayed by Brianne Howey).
Georgia managed to avoid jail time with Ginny's (Antonia Gentry) ingenious scheme, reuniting her with her kids, but their story is far from reaching a fairy-tale ending.
Georgia not only stands to face the ire of her alienated relatives, but also contemplates the possibility she might be expecting, after deceiving Paul (Scott Porter) about being pregnant with his baby.
Netflix gave the green light for a fourth season in May 2023, seemingly setting it up as the show's last bow.
Contrarily, the show's architect, Sarah Lampert, has now hinted at a desire for a fifth season if Netflix agrees.

Originally fixed on a four-season journey to conclude the narrative, Lampert confessed to Deadline that there are additional tales yet to be explored within the drama.
The continuation of the show depends on Netflix's verdict, leaving its ultimate destiny intertwined with decisions of the streaming titan.
Lampert divulged: "I always thought it would end at season four, just because I knew what the ending was, let's say, but what we're finding in the writers' room for this season is that there's actually more there.

"And it would almost feel rushed to get to that ending for it to happen in four. I'm not Netflix. I can't control whether or not there's a season five, but I would say what we discovered very early on in the season four's writers' room is, oh, there's more story here."
The creative hub for season four is buzzing, according to Lampert, who described the atmosphere as "so alive", further mentioning that it was "ever-growing, ever morphing".
While Lampert has kept the details of season four under wraps, viewers can anticipate it will resume after Georgia's jaw-dropping revelation and perhaps clarify the pregnancy mystery.
Audiences are keen to see the evolution of Ginny's rekindled relationship with Marcus, portrayed by Felix Mallard. Austin's challenges continue as Diesel La Torraca's character grapples with guilt over implicating his father, Gil, played by Aaron Ashmore, in Georgia's misdeeds.
In a titillating hint, Gentry told Netflix's Tudum that "Ginny is fully turning into Georgia by the end of the season. That is a brand-new character aspect that we haven't seen before."
Yet, the precise launch date for season four remains unconfirmed for now.
