Tragic Collapse in Kolkata Claims Life of Construction Worker

Fatal Incident in Boubazar Area
A construction worker lost his life following the collapse of a section of an over-century-old building in the Boubazar area of Kolkata. Authorities reported the incident on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Ashutosh Adhikari, a 37-year-old resident of Vidyadharpally in the South 24 Parganas district, where he worked as a laborer.
According to a police official, Ashutosh and several other workers were rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, while the others were treated and later discharged. Most of the residents in the building were tenants.
Personnel from the Boubazar police station and the Kolkata police disaster management team also arrived at the scene.
