Pop icon Justin Bieber has taken to Instagram with a series of emotional and reflective posts, opening up about his struggles with conditional relationships, societal pressure, and personal faith. The 31-year-old Believe singer, who shares a nine-month-old son, Jack, with wife Hailey Bieber, shared two black-and-white selfies on Sunday (June 8), accompanied by a powerful message:
“Tired of transactional relationships. If I have to do something to be loved, that’s not love.”
Frustration Over Endless Expectations
The emotional post came just a day after Bieber addressed the ongoing pressure to “work harder,” despite already giving his all. In an Instagram Story featuring a photo of himself with a hand over his head, he wrote:
“This is how I feel after people keep telling me there’s more work to do after I’ve given everything I have to give… I listened to those fools who told me to work harder.”
He criticized the mindset that equates self-worth with productivity and said, “You have everything you need right now.”

Faith Over Hustle Culture
Justin went on to emphasize the importance of faith and divine purpose over societal expectations. “This life is about God,” he wrote. “Quit making your life about work. God will always inspire you, but stop playing God.”
He also reflected on the futility of self-improvement for approval’s sake:
“The harder I work on myself, the more I think about myself… The only thing that helps me think about others is to let go, not try harder.”
