The much-awaited Bollywood comedy HOUSEFull 5 has taken the box office by storm, collecting a whopping ₹54 crore within just two days of its theatrical release. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film has quickly lived up to audience expectations and given a significant boost to the producers’ confidence.
Strong Opening Weekend
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, HOUSEFull 5 earned an impressive ₹24 crore on its opening day, surpassing the first-day collection of Akshay Kumar’s earlier 2025 release Sky Forcemaking it the actor’s highest opening of the year. The second day saw an additional 25% surge in collections, pulling in ₹30 crore and taking the film’s total to ₹54 crore by the end of day two.
This robust performance is not only a testament to the franchise’s enduring popularity but also a sign of Akshay Kumar’s continued box office pull. With such momentum, the film is poised to cross even bigger milestones in the coming days.
A Star-Studded Laughter Riot
HOUSEFull 5 brings back the signature madness and multi-starrer charm that the franchise is known for. The ensemble cast includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nana Patekar, Fardeen Khan, Johnny Lever, and Chunky Pandey — a mix of veteran performers and fan-favorite comedians.
Audiences have appreciated the film’s over-the-top humor, high-energy performances, and nostalgic throwbacks to previous Housefull entries. With family-friendly comedy and grand visuals, the movie continues to draw footfall across metro cities and small towns alike.
A Unique Twist: Two Different Endings
In a rare creative move, HOUSEFull 5 features two different climaxes. Director Tarun Mansukhani shared that the idea had been in producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s mind for 30 years, and it finally came to life in this installment.
“As a director, creating two separate climaxes was one of the most thrilling yet challenging parts of the film,” Mansukhani said. “It sounded very exciting during planning, but once we were on set, the real challenges of executing it hit us.”
The dual-ending concept has sparked curiosity and prompted many moviegoers to watch the film twice, helping boost its box office numbers further.
What’s Next for ‘Housefull 5’?
If early trends hold, HOUSEFull 5 could emerge as one of the highest-grossing Bollywood comedies of 2025. With the weekend still underway, the film’s earnings are expected to continue climbing. Its mass appeal, comic timing, and innovative storytelling approach have set it apart in a crowded market.
