Are you planning to withdraw your EPF (Employees’ Provident Fund) savings for a house, wedding, medical emergency, or any other urgent need? You can now easily withdraw your PF amount online from home without visiting any office.
Let’s break down the step-by-step guide to withdrawing EPF online.
🏦 What Is EPF?
The Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) is a government-backed savings scheme managed by EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation). Both the employer and the employee contribute to this fund monthly, and the accumulated corpus (with interest) is paid out at retirement.
However, under certain circumstances, you are allowed to partially or fully withdraw your EPF balance before retirement.
✅ Key Requirements Before Withdrawing EPF Online
Before you begin the process, ensure the following:
-
Your UAN (Universal Account Number) is activated.
-
Your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account are linked with UAN.
-
Your KYC is verified on the EPFO portal.
-
If you are withdrawing more than ₹50,000 before 5 years of service, TDS may apply unless PAN is linked.
